INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 2 lbs country-style pork ribs
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
-
Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes in a sizable mixing bowl (if using).
-
Make sure the country-style pork ribs are evenly coated before adding them to the marinade.
-
For optimal results, marinate in the refrigerator overnight or for at least two hours.
-
Increase the heat on the grill or broiler.
-
After removing the ribs, discard the marinade and save it for another use.
-
For 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until the ribs are blackened and thoroughly cooked, grill or broil the ribs over high heat.
-
Pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and heat it to a boil while the ribs are cooking.
-
Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened, on low heat.
-
If desired, add more sesame seeds and baste the sauce over the cooked ribs. Serve right away.
